About Christophe Ngo, M.A., LMFT
My Approach & Philosophy
As a first-generation born in America, I understand the struggle growing up with immigrant parents while finding the balance between discovering my values, & ideas, & ones from my family. Maintaining that boundary with confidence & guilt-free.
You’ve spent years trying to make life make sense and to find where you fit in the world always feeling like an outsider, different from your family, or that you don’t belong. You bounce around from one hobby, friend group, or idea to another. Perhaps, your identity feels like it’s been chosen for you, and you’re ready to break free from expectations.
Let’s use metaphors, memes, and all things nerdy to help you understand yourself. Therapy is like a road trip. Sometimes you go forward, backward, or sideways, but how fast you want to go is up to you. I am ready to join you with humor and compassion. You deserve a space to normalize your experiences and create your desired life.
I am certified in multiple strategies and trained in addressing Trauma, Sex therapy, Identity, rejection/shame, ADHD & Autism, Kink & Alternative Lifestyles.
Random Facts: I have 4 cats, Super Nerdy, Great bad dad jokes, have traveled to multiple countries & collecting Transformers toys.

Understanding the Importance of Culture in Therapy
Because of the stigma of mental illness within the Asian community, I understand how it can be difficult to reach out. Culture affects all aspects of our lives, influencing how we see ourselves and how we engage with others. I acknowledge the role of culture in therapy and its importance, as it affects our identity, sense of self, sexuality, and values.
What Makes Me Different
You will receive therapy that is designed to help you improve and find balance in all aspects of your life by treating your concerns at the source. I approach your mental health counseling and therapy treatment with these values in mind:
Efficient – I am direct and engaging, yet open and friendly. My goal is to help you gain insight to create healthy connections and achieve personal growth.
Present – I will not be a passive participant in your treatment. My clients have told me that my genuineness, humor, and a bit of sassiness are refreshing. Even though therapy can elicit intense emotions, I will be in the moment with you.
Supportive – I try to develop a genuine relationship with you to facilitate communication. I will be actively involved in your treatment during our online therapy sessions. You deserve to be heard and understood.
